Has anyone built anything that automatically comments to YouTube? (using their API or browser emulation)?

Any issues you experienced? As far as I know, comments with links have to be approved but that's hte only limitation.

    Thanks!

Not yet. I'm planning on using the API as follows:

    1. Comment "Awesome video! It's been added to our site!"
    2. Hope that people click through to our channel
    3. Many links on the channel to the site

Any issue with this? Would I get flagged for spam?

Most definitely yes. Bots won't be happy seeing anything over 5 of that in one day

Do you say that just because the message doesn't have any variation?

If I add variation to the message, would I be able to post more? Or is it better to just do this manually...

Yes, rephrasing reminds the easiest way to outsmart bots.
You can use one of the free spinners or re-writer

YT changes algorithms all the times and likes to ban accounts. That's the main issues.

Hey man, I'm a botter myself and considering a similar venture. Have you made much progress yet? I've written a comment bot before but I'm considering making an advanced custom one for myself. Going to start doing some tests soon. I'd like to add links in each comment.

no progress yet, just considering it as an idea.

from what I've read, if you include a link in your post you're very likely to get marked as spam. (https://www.quora.com/Can-you-post-YouTube-links-in-the-YouTube-comment-section)
