YouTube+Amazon question!!

Hey guys! I'm a very old BlackHatWorld member, I always read your posts on how you make money and stuff, but I never took action!
So today I've finally found a method that fits my YouTube Videos.

I have around 2k subscribers on YouTube (I get only 300-400 views per video though), making HD Piano covers, and I upload a video around once in 2 weeks.

So now I found out about the promotion of the Amazon products and get 15% of the actual price, and I think its perfect to promote sheet music books, an actual piano for sale and stuff like that.

I would like to ask a 2 questions before I take action:
1) Should I create my own website and promote via my website? Or just put a link of the product in the video description?
Do you suggest anything else?
2) Will people actually buy from me? I don't have a lot of audience, 2k subscribers but just a few of them watch.

I heard CPA is also good, but it doesn't fit my piano covers. I don't want my audience to call me a "sellout" because I promote none-subject stuff.

Please give me a good answer.
I'm afraid to spend money on my website, and then gain nothing, which will make me actually lose money instead of winning.
