YouTube Advertising Costs?

They won't list actual costs, even tho I could swear they used to a couple years ago. The pay per click thing is listed, much like bidding on adwords, which I ain't gonna do, cannot stand adwords nor the concept.

If anyone knows what they charge for a "promoted" or "featured" type video, and how it works (when they feature it, what you get, how much exposure, etc), please let me know, sometimes a good program is worth paying for traffic for.

"Featured" type videos are a natural outcome of the system. Drive heavy traffic to a video, accept the sponsorship offer (so your video shows ads), and then continue to drive traffic, and your video automatically gets added to the "featured" sidebar section. I've got a number of videos there.

Keep in mind that "featured" is chosen algorithmically to match up with things like search queries and the like.

Thanks for your response, and "yes," I did/do understand that about Featured videos, I should have clarified that part.

But the rest was interesting, and very helpful. I have constant offers for sponsorship at the bottom of my edit field for a few of my vids with higher numbers (tho I never get in the stratosphere; none are past 100,000 views yet).
