Youtube + adsense = quick $$$?

Hi y'all. Just wanted to share a little success story.

About 3 weeks ago, i had absolutely no experience with online marketing or advertisement programs whatsoever.

My idea was to re-upload popular videos from websites such as Liveleak and Dumpert.nl in the hopes they go viral. So far, 4 out of my 69 videos have become quite popular. 3 of them having around 50k views and one 100k views, Without me having to do anything other than uploading the videos.

Together, they earn about me 10 Euros (or 15 dollar) a day and it's still rising. Not as much as most most guys around here, but you gotta start somewhere. :D

The key is to upload home videos not containing any copyrighted music or any other copyrighted content.
I also try to avoid all videos related to major news events, as they easily get removed and flagged by media companies like ANP, reuters etc.

That's really easy.

You load the video on webpage, go to your browser's cache and look or a file with a size in the range of 2 to 40mb.

Using Opera browser, they're named like :
opr0EEA2.tmp
opb0ErwR.tmp
opr0EE0X.tmp

And so on.
You can play them with VLC player (download if you don't have it) to check if it's the right video.
Copy the file to a folder where you put all your ripped videos.

Then you just upload the file to youtube, add some tags and a title and you're pretty much done.

how did you get the viewers to click on your adsense ads?
do you own a site? is the site related to your videos?

do you mean grab oder edit the vids?

to grab them use the firefox addon "videopark downloader"

or play the video and record it with the open source sofware camstudio and put some annotations on it.
 
If you keep doing this (just home videos) you could probably become partner soon and then putting ads and prerolls by default on the videos. and chances are no one would dmca the videos and if they do just counter claim and they'll go away, or if anything dmca other videos.

even if you upload a homemade video from other people, wouldn't your account get banned eventually for copyright infringement if one of the video owners reports you?

There's a chance that might happen.
How big is the chance it will actually happen? very small. Most people are just happy that their video got popular. 90% of them has no idea that money is being made off of it.

You can minimize the chance of being cought by choosing alternative titles and tags too.

Oh by the way. Earned 30 Euros yesterday. 15 Euros today and still 11 hours to go. :D

I'm not going to risk my adsense account for that. Perhaps i'm a little paranoid, but i also use tor/vpn/proxies around here just incase.

Can you explain how you add Adsense to the video?

I've seen videos with an Adsense bar across them but I don't know how to add it.

You mentioned about that liveleak site but all their videos have built in watermark LIVELEAK logo on top left of their videos.

So If i upload a video from them, wouldn't youtube easily be able to find out that i copied a video from liveleak?

How do u get away with that D:??

Also, that other site that starts with .nl is a foreign site and i can't understand any titles in the videos xD
 
Yeah, I've done something similar to this and can definitely agree that the chance that the video will be reported for copyright infridgements by the original author of the video are really small and in the past 4 months of submitting a lot of videos to youtube i've not met with a signel complaint.. :P but this has started to dry out a bit.

from what i understand, once your video goes viral youtube will offer you the monetization

Yup. :)

You will automatically receive an invite once a video of yours gets alot of views in a short time span. 10k views in one hour seems to trigger it.

This is something I also want to know. Do you upload the videos to youtube with the trademark?

Awesome method, thanks for sharing. Just think getting invited to the YT Adsense program might be a bit tough. Am I mistaken or are you Dutch? :p

You can always look for the original video on youtube. It's bound to be out there without a watermark.... not that the watermark makes any differences tho. Liveleak is doing exactly what i'm doing. Taking other people's videos and making a profit on them through advertisement. They don't own the rights to any of those videos.

And yes, my top video has a liveleak mark.
