I got an email from Admaven with a survey saying that youtube ads are most hated by users (last year I think I remember it was pop ups)

So I guess there is no problem putting back my pop unders now.

Any thoughts?

Is this actually serious, or are you trolling?
If every YouTube ad was replaced with a pop-up, then more people would hate pop-ups. This type of survey is completely useless, it doesn't account for all the spam ad blocking there is being done all over the internet.

The most annoying ads are youtube ads, the last time I saw the same shoe at the time I watched the video, that starts automatically with sound and prestitial ads with countdown. I think many people hate that so that the same way as any ads and even more.

Youtube has multiple ad types and the one which is suggesting videos (not playing before other videos) is very useful and highly targeted.

Most of the YT ads displayed over videos with english titles are well precise. From an advertiser's point of view, that's how it should be.

People don’t remember old ads anymore

[X] button escaping from your mouse once hovered... I hope guy who invented this will burn for centuries.

Current YouTube ads are actually pretty chill. You can even skip most of them. Compare it to TV.
