Your Worst IM Failure

So im kind of stealing this from the success story thread because weirdly enough i learn more from others failures so whats your biggest IM failure, how much did you lose, what did you learn.

Ill start... In 2012 I think it was I invested $500 in a software called ultimate demon, hired a VA and spent countless hours learning and master the platform scraping lists, getting proxies. building scraped elements. I dedicated an insane amount of time to getting this all going.

I must have spent months on this. The first site I chose to blast to full time had a small jump in rankings, nowhere near enough to justify all the time and investment. I scrapped the whole project and didnt do IM again for another 3 years.

I learned don't just follow the next get rich quick scheme people are pumping, make sure you do some research and make sure your ROI justifies the money and time investment before you get overexcited and jump into something that may not be worth while!

Yeah you were probably a few years too late on that software.

I liked Ultimate Demon.

Launching projects & developing products before doing extensive research.
I've had many failed products simply because they were wild dreams & ideas that had no solid foundation:

• They failed because there was no core product.
• There was no direct way to cash in -- had no monetization strategy.
  
• Too much time, work & resources were involved to make them profitable (if at all).
• Couldn't find an audience to sell them to ; and PPC is way to expensive for experimental ideas -- lots of money was wasted.

Many years ago when I've started with IM, I launched my first site and wrote about 50 articles my self.
Back in those days a PR 3 site wasn't bad at all; but the market was so small and my target audience was not in "buy" mode. Nor were there many products available I could promote (as an affiliate for instance). I should've invested the same time & effort into a more competitive industry that was in "buy" mode ; that would've been a different story

Spending 60$ in a useless course!

Spending $1000 on Paid traffic for Mobile CPA , total earnings of that period was $15 in totals, I could just invest that money into scaling the Free traffic streams that brought me that $$ the 1st time, I learned that taking action is important after you get good informations about a business model, but only if the informations you got are really solid .

Well, as for me, I guess I just have a very very bad luck in IM, but will never give up.

Back in 2013, started reading about IM and decided to try the Mini Niche sites, I bought few of them at once around 300$ hoping them to rank, but they never did, so I invisted more $ to rank them but nah, still nothing. Just lost hope and gave up.

Then, I moved to another country to study. And started in the Pinterest+FL method, and affiliated with Amazon. Everything went smooth earned few hundreds, I was happy with the earnings, but as I mentioned I have a bad luck so a huge problem started between the place I live in and USA so Amazon sent me an Email about blocking my account and lost the earnings due to sanctions. Lost the money. And also created a Payoneer account coz I needed the American bank they provided and they blocked my account.

Did I give up? No. Started creating IG accounts and sold few of them, got few $$, bought FL, and I had my Paypal account to recieve money. Went great, Until sold 3 or 4 accs got 800$ in my Paypal, but guess what, Paypal emailed me asking for a proof of address and name, sent them and they just responded with limiting my account forever, called them few times, but no hope. Created an American Paypal account, but it's gonna get banned anytime, and that's for sure, I guess they are waiting me to recieve a good amount of money hahaha.

Now I have few Paypal accs, and have my FL running with the IG accs, still going to sell them and recieve money until I find a bulletproof solution to my problems in here.

Let's just hope for the best.

Thats an annoying one especially with cpa inflation making it harder to get a good amount of clicks for a decent revenue

well I did the same in 2013 with gsa ser.
for the time spend for that crap, I could have created 200 youtube reviews....

and approx 500$ for PBN posts.
they ranked high competition NON buyer intent keywords perfectly :/
fuck....

My biggest mistake used to be buying ebooks and tools expecting magic to happen.

I made a social network one summer,and I Couldn't get people to join so I made and ran a ptc site for a while and now I'm making generating revenue on fiverr

My first site I build was offering business advice to a specialized niche that I loved and knew all about. I built a 200 post site, 20 custom videos(avg 10 minutes), over 30 infographics, I took all my own pictures(hired models and all of it); this site was GOLD. I was ranking #1 for all my targeted keywords...Then I learned about keyword research... Keyword volume was about 1,000 annually, COMBINED! No buyer intent, just informational. Made $3 in 2 yrs.

it just boils down to personal taste.
or me, I am done with that automated stuff.

I rather use a panel, build a PBN as fuck or buy real expensive posts.

done.

spending full work weeks on mastering that softtware . I am done.
and in the end, it aint cheaper . just different.

I made 3 "rent to sale" or however that fucking term was.
never rented a site.
turned them into some blogs and use them in my public network. works

My first experience running a couple Facebook ad campaigns were both spectacular failures. $513 loss, CTR of 1.13% on one and 0.87% on the other. I learned a great deal from the process though even with lessons learned, I still do not do great with direct facebook advertising. Here's to forever learning!

I'm guilty of both. Sold a site, was much younger, got into university, got laid, had a bunch of money, focuses shifted. Focused solely on work and getting my bachelors.
I'm about to graduate and the wheels are back in motion though and I'm more pumped than I ever was!
My time in university was fun (socially), but the most damaging (mentally) as I wanted to jump on X project/journey , but couldn't due to motivation and management of time between full time courses and work.
