What was your longest time it took to return from a Google dance? Asking because my site is buried for 3 weeks now.

2-3 weeks at max.

Don't worry about that, just keep building links.

I used to freak out when it would disappear, now I just smile :)

That what I was thinking but I am getting impatient. The site dropped for every keyword on dec 27 and no upward movement since.

Don't worry, my site was down for more than 2 month, than came back on top 3

Don't stress it, seriously.

As mentioned just keep building quality links, you'll come out of it.

Think of it like running on a treadmill, have you ever tried to look back mid-way during a sprint? I doubt it, as you would have fallen on your face.

It's the same thing, don't look back too much otherwise you'll fret about every little thing. Keep building the site, keep getting links, updating your blog, adding a forum writing articles etc.... DON'T STOP!!

P.S. That may not have been the best analogy, but it's the first thing that came to my head :)

Thanks for the positive feedback guys:) I was thinking about a reconsideration request, probably not the best idea with my link profile -> Xrumer. I think I will just wait and keep building links.

a year.. still dancing with google, but if you knew the keywords then you would know why...

I was in the same boat 3 to 4 weeks ago. I was really nervous but 1.5 to 2 weeks later, boom back in place and still where I'm at page one.

It looks like some of the links I built are slowly getting erased by the blog owners. four weeks and 1000 links lower. I guess that's why we got to keep building it.

Mike

2 weeks... keep getting backlinks....

i hate google dance because i got decent visitors... LOL

i am dancing here myself. All people say build links and they are right in a way, but i doubt there's a way to accelerate the process.

Months. I have a site which suddenly got 10k+ links from a website I've never even heard of. I didn't build links from the site and it is actually not even a valid domain anymore. Maybe someone had it in for me :)

My longest was 3 days. There was a time it just disappeared and I couldn't find it on the first 15 pages. I used to be 1st page but after 3 days it went back and it even ranked higher than before.

Hit them with some xtreme high PR anchored backlinks and high PR .edu's. go from there...

At least PR4+

Is this like Angela and Paul links?

Nope... Just basics... That is just a name for profiles blah blah...

Profiles are profiles... And i like my profiles trough open forum profiles linked to eachother and my target site...

I use xrumer to find them, shift them and hit them... PROPERLY

Mine was in dance for about a month, then i came back without adding any more backlinks in the mean time and hit rank #3 for my keyword.

My case may be similar to yours, my site has got 240k links from one site. It seemed to be a 5 page site with good PR so I bought a sitewide link. To my surprise big G started to show tens of thousands of links. Turns out php variables in the urls are counted as different pages by big G. Today I have removed the link. Will see if it has any effect.

I know I should keep it and wait it out, but I need that income.

Ladies and Gentlemen, my site has just returned after 24 days. Most of the keywords got slightly higher with a couple exceptions due to new competitors. If you are in similar situation, don't panic like I did. It will come back:) Now I just hope it will stay.
