what ping list can I put to cbnet ping optimizer, which doesn't have errors. Because I'm getting LOT of errors like transport error - HTTP status code was not 200

After being hacked twice in the last year I installed the top 3 of my 5 and have not been hacked since.
This is my top 5 but I believe you have to have more than 5 plugins. I would add xml-sitmap, no 404 errors and wp-policies to must have list.

4. high performance seo
5. pc robots.txt

Maybe. What it does is link to your category. So if you have a category called Dog Training and have that exact match in the article then is should link to the category. I have found that it does not work on every theme but most of them it does. It will also link to the tag pages so keep your tags short. If you are using Dog Training Videos as a tag break it up into dog,training,videos

Look for BTB's thread on his keyword research and he has a list of ping sites there.
 
YARPP (yet another related posts plugin)

All the magic of internal backlinks comes when your related posts link to each other. YARPP runs analysis on all your blog posts and links each one to other posts on your blog that are most related to it.

Having this plugin on a blog that consists of 100 or more posts is critical in my opinion. Also, Matt Cutts was searching around for the best related posts plugin and he decided on YARPP ... so he thinks its pretty important as well.

Not a top 5, there are some good ones on posts above, but some that i found to be very useful.

Auto SEO Tags : Every time a visitor arrives from a search engine their query is added as a tag for the post they visit.
Date Exclusion SEO : Turns off the date of your posts so keeps them fresh.
Easy WP SEO : Great for page SEO optimization.
TAC (Theme Authenticity Checker). TAC scans all of your theme files for potentially malicious or unwanted code.
SEO Friendly Images: Automatically adds alt and title attributes to all your images.
 
These are 5 plugins that I use on every blog (except for nr.5 which I don't use all the time but listed because it's a blackhat plugin, and it makes me some cash)

1. xml sitemaps (must have)
2. platinum seo (for some basic seo)
3. secure wordpress (thanks to this I dont get hacked anymore by some crazy turks)
4. ilwp linkcloacker (just to make affiliate links look nicer)
5. cpa redirector 2 (plugin to fake the http referrer)

1 - Gravity Forms
Easily the best form plugin that I've found. Integrates with mailing lists and everything.

2- Popup domination
The easiest to configure popup solution that I've found. Integration with the autoresponder is sooo easy.

3- SEO SearchTerms Tagging
self-explanatory, I think. When people search for stuff, those keywords come up on your page.

4- WP Greet Box
Great for new users coming to your site. Good to promote an offer, or pretty much anything you want based on the referrer. (IE - promoting a linkedin product to people who come from linkedin, etc...)

5- AutoSocialPoster
Doesn't work that well anymore, but I absolutely LOVED the automatic bookmarking of any new posts. I'm looking for something to replace this.


And as a bonus, the optimizepress theme for making optins and sales pages!
 
1. Word Press SEO by Yoast. This SEO plugin is awesome, you can get rid of other plugins as it has somany features.

2. W3 Total Cache. Great plugin that has many setting to really imporve the speed of your site.

3. WP Minify. A simple but effective plugin to minfy html, javascript and CSS which makes your site faster. W3 total Cache above has this feature, but this one does a better job so I turn the minfy off in W3.

4.Akismet. Essentail spam protection for comments.

5. WP Smush.it. Auto compress images you upload without losing quality. Really good for improving the speed of your site.
