Your tips to make boards high traffic

Hey there,
What are your tricks to make boards high traffic? Im trying to keep them open to new users who add pins and gaining traffic.

Make posts with a lot of keywords. Engage with other accounts, post on each other boards.
 
No, you don't need to use hashtags on Pinterest. With keywords I mean keywords. Just post as many as you can. (Pinterest allows 500 signs). Divide them with commas. For example, green t-shirt, red t-shirt etc.
 
There's a lot of ways that are fairly well known.

Find topics by going to pinterest.com/popular. Look at what is being repinned & commented on. Create something similar, create a board, use the pin as the cover, and fill the board with relevant pins. Now find boards that match with that topic, and follow the people who follow that board. Make the board a group board, and invite away!

The most important thing you can do is pin stuff that is from your blog or site, using an image from your landing URL.
 
Should also look up "data-pin-description". Pinterest changed their algo so that alt text is not being picked up. Alt text is suppose to be the 3rd option down the road according to this article: https://blog.tailwindapp.com/why-you-should-stop-using-alt-tags-for-pinterest-pin-descriptions/, but it's not being recorded.

This change has been screwing up my numbers because newly made pins are being given a generic description showing page title and website name. For now, incorporate data-pin-description until Pinterest changes their mind down the road.

Create a popular board ans pin a lot of popular topic that any follower may be attractive.
 
Boards are started to die a long time and many died, doesn't worth the effort imho
 
I would suggest to optimize keywords in board's name, in pins desc and, what is very important, to pin regularly
