I imagine it's provided some harsh and expensive lessons to some so at least some good came of it.
Their reddit looks like it's in total denial right now though.

The reddit mods for Verge got serious about removing the FUD posts. So many garbage posts are now gone including many 'moon' and 'lambo' posts. It's really quieted things down.
I have never seen this much FUD for any other coin I follow.
It's dropping in price a little, but so are most alt coins today due to BTC buzz. Tomorrow should be moving day for alt coins again. I'm banking on it.

Watching it too. ETH just topped out after incredible run to 925, so I think some of that is flowing back into other alts.
XVG has new marketing guys in foreign countries now including France.
Also Forbes is going to do an article on them very soon. Lead dev talking with Forbes today.
Also, heavy moderation of the reddit removed all moon, lambo, and FUD comments.
They also announced a new updated website coming.

Keep Hodling Verge. Its technology is awesome. Monero guys are pissed because Verge will make Monero and other Privacy coins useless thats why they spread lots of FUD. Even in the Reddit Cryptocurrency sub a Monero fanboy of a moderator spread FUD about Verge.
I recommend to have 2 portfolios 1 for long term hodl and one for day/swing trading.
Verge is currently the coin with the most attention. "The Sun" wrote a positive article today about verge and there will be a Forbes article about verge in the next days.
I'm happy that people sold their XVG. I don't have much to invest thats why it's good to get some extra coins when the price dips.

Again i didnt research the coin but apparently this team missed 4 freaking deadlines, promised everyone Wraith will be out by Jan 2018, and again missed the deadline. So obviously ppl dont trust em.
Still made over 50% on verge, sold on 23:00 new years eve when I saw they're gonna fuck up again
Yeah I was too pissed to get out when it was 63% or so up. Conviniet time I'd say for the release.
Also tonight, I love how Bittrex conveniently update their wallets on any given spike.
The whole crypto scene stinks of shit and desperation. Watch it collapse soon.

Maybe bro but by the time itll be here ill already make 1000% of percents on my money, like a lot of ppl in this section do.
I already 5X my money on 2 coins and doubled/tripled on a few others... we need to get in and out fast.

But they delivered the wraith update for MacOs on 31th December and the windows wallet update at 1. jan.
Most people just didn't see it because not many people following them on twitter and there was too much FUD created by competitors
It was everyones own fault to think that wraith will sky rocket the price, the price only goes up if there is more demand than offer and verge doesn't have practical use yet.
Only traders buying verge right now. The wraith update makes everything anonymous using TOR and in the future people pay stuff with verge if they don't want to be tracked down.
But as I said there is no one using verge yet to buy stuff. There are few shops which only accept verge, maybe will be more in the next months.
If you want to day trade, pump n dump verge is wrong for you.

Nah man, they fucked up. they said they will release it BEFORE the 1st of january. They didnt.
They released a half-assed version on the 1st of January that only worked on IOS or something and said they will update the windows and linux soon... and so on... and thats exactly the problem, this 'team' which is basically this jasonvandetta or w/e his name is, keep missed out deadlines and doing a half-assed job. def doesnt look like a serious company.
