Your thoughts on SEOMoz

I prefer Majestic SEO for backlinks, and other sources over seomoz. Not worth the $99 a month. Their blog posts are usually OK but they toot their own horn too often.

I have to agree with everyone else here and say the SEOmoz tutorials are awesome. Actually re-read some today just for the hell of it.

Their blog posts and tools are great and very useful (specially for beginners; they have a real knack for easily explaining things to people who normally wouldn't give a rat's ass about SEO), but the community on a whole looks like a huge well-oiled circlejerk.

I really like their tools especially open site explorer and the post by bobbylove321 about this tool was simply awsum. As far as their blog is concern I really like to filter out good stuff and leave out the rest as the blog posts are very time consuming.

He has a great SEO blog, IMHO.

I tried the paid version of his site a couple of times, though. In my opinion it's not worth the money.

I do prefer Majestic SEO myself for backlinks.

Otherwise SEOMoz has a pretty good blog.

frappertank,
Why didn't you think it was worth it?

Their blog is nice, can't say anything for their tools though.

SEOmoz is a great site with a lot of information, whiteboard friday is my favorite :) They are all knowledgable, plus all of it are whitehate. We should know some white's right? :)

Agreed it has a good blog, but after I started to read this forum have no time left for it ;)

SEOMoz is just another arrow in the quiver. I read the blogs there daily and I do subscribe to their monthly tools. While they are not the end all, be all when it comes to SEO they certainly provide information that can and should be incorporated into the overall equation.

I primarily use the rank tracker, and site competition tool. Those together with the informative articles they publish is definitely worth the money.

I really like their blog but hate the fact that they have opened their legs for Di******d as they really piss me off. I worked for a mortgage company in the uk and these monkeys charged an arm and a leg for their shitty advice every month. Their main SEO advice? Get a shit load of paid links and watch the traffic grow. 6 months later and they are frantically trying to cancel ALL of the paid links as G started going after paid link whores.
Now every time I read SEOMoZ this crappy company are mentioned every time.
Pathetic and I've lost respect for SEOMoZ because of this.
