i find it quite different when i returned to Reddit now, 6 years ago it's much easier. less requirement and easy conversation. today, to many requirements yet i still returned. i miss old days.

I wasn't using Reddit six years ago, but based on my experience today, I find it much harder to use. The platform has become much stricter, and accounts can be suspended very easily if you're not careful.

in my point of view, Reddit remains a powerful platform for learning, networking, community building, and reaching targeted audiences.

I also miss the old reddit, but the stricter rules have also helped reduce spam and low quality content in many communities.

True, it was definitely easier before. I think many communities added restrictions because of spam, but it also made things harder for genuine users.

Today there are more rules and requirements which makes participation harder but it also helps keep discussions more organized. Still I sometimes miss the simpler older days. Reddit has changed a lot over the years.

Reddit in 2026 is driving me crazy because my accounts keep getting suspended.

I agree with your point. Reddit is definitely much stricter than it was few years ago. Back then, it was easier to join discussions and build accounts. Now there are more filters, karma requirements and moderation rules. The good thing is that genuine engagement still works, it just takes more patience than before.

I feel the same way sometimes. ;)The old Reddit felt more relaxed, while now it seems like every subreddit has its own rules, karma requirements and posting restrictions. On the other hand, I can understand why they added them with the amount of spam and bots around these days.

Yes, it feels different now. On Reddit, conversations are still good, but you need to build karma and follow sub rules first.
