Not sure on the requirements for verification, but It's definitely worth doing to stop people copying.

That's a scam OP, don't do it. Read some of the previous posts around here. People have lost some of their biggest pages by falling for that.

The other trick is different and involves takeover of pages that are under business category.

This pic looks like a notification, and is legit.
 
a scam? hackers gained access to facebook and changed your admin dashboard? yes this must be a scam
 
If you can submit a request why would this be a scam ?

It was an admin of mine who got it on his page , has about 198k likes, Entertainer page, his reach is very low atm, about 200-400 likes on posts..

I PM'ed you about this. It's a legitimate invitation to get your page verified. That other thing people were talking about was notifications in the page roles tab. This is a notification on the page itself.

I know, I hope I eventually get it!
 
i used a proxy from usa and germany but didnt work.
I also tryed to change languages of facebook but still a Error "This page is not available", any other ideas?
 
I'm not sure, one day i woke up and one of my fellow admins got this on a page i was editor on, ever since then i can go to the link now. The link works for me, i submitted an ID to see if i can get a page verified friday, but as it is. Facebook is closed on the weekend and i will await this week for a response.
 
allright maybe the request ist only open for people who got this notification ;)
