Hello

I am looking to switch from HostGator to LiquidWeb for Cloud VPS - Can I get your thoughts on LiquidWeb please?

There was a time when LiquidWeb was great at one time but they've gone way downhill. Still better the HG but I'd keep looking before using either of those two.

Liquidweb acquired WiredTree, and ever since then they have seen a rise in tickets and the support supposedly has gone down hill. Or at least what I have been reading in the customer comments. Hosting providers here cannot offer their products, my suggestion or recommendation is to check out the sales thread and find one that meets your requirements. :)

I was a previous Wiredtree customer and to say the least their support was the best ever. When the move to Liquidweb happened I was worried and rightly so but so far I haven't needed support yet. I can't say much in terms of support from liquidweb but my vps's speeds and reliability hasn't gone down from what I can see.

I can back up my claims with this:

liquidweb was great earlier , now they are expensive . Take 1 hr to learn LAMP/LEMP stack and host your site with Digitalocean , linode , vultr etc . If yours is a wordpress , much easier .
 
I am a WiredTree customer since 2010. The WiredTree customer support was the best I've ever seen: quick replies and very efficient. I have a VPS ($90/month) with them and I had no issues with it since they were bought by LiquidWeb.
 
That's great to hear! These are the reviews us hosting providers love to see! Glad they have treated both of you guys well :)
 
If that is the only two that you are looking at then LW hands down. HG would not even be in a top 50 pick for me.
