Rather than harsh criticism, because they're both decent looking for landing pages, I will instead be brutally honest.
They say consistently converting 1/100 visitors, paid traffic or organic traffic, is considered Success. More than that and up to converting 5 or 6/100 and you've got the god copy written and everything is just right - you're doing big business.
Much more than that and chances are that your offer is a service or something like that in a totally different category of publishing. Like, Myspace is a free site - a conversion for them is a new account. They convert like crazy, obviously. What is my point? I will tell you.
1/100 people, contrary to popular belief, are fucking stupid. The people who teach us how to leverage traffic and do all of that are assholes - NOT all of them, not nearly all of them, but you know the stereotype... The truth is that at the very least 1 person out of every 100 people who visit your site - and were looking for something related to what you've published - are stupid. I won't break down the in-betweens, but about 1/100 are smart as well.
That means while you make at least one sale, capture at least one lead or subscriber, etc, out of every hundred, there's also only about one who actually see's right through it - and that's not a bad thing, nor am I referring to your page at all (that must be noted lol) - I'm saying you're going to lose 1/100 because they just already know the information or see within your copy the clues that will lead them to find out on their own - some people have that gift...
Now, the stupid people, they are a given. You're going to sell 1/100 to idiots or else the "gurus" would say "1/500" is good... they know that if you do any kind of valuable service to the attention your reader gives you, you're going to fo 5 or 6 percent, easy. And if you have something really hot on your mind, you're going to do well and beyond that - suddenly you are one of those "rare success stories" - really, they just undersold your expectations knowing that one out of every hundred is definitely an idiot that will buy anything as long as it's targeted to their ideas and wants, not even necessarily their needs.
That being said, 6% was great. You can do that very last suggestion and bounce between pages, or maybe run one for a week, then the other for a week (daily will not help you, weekly will, and randomly or 50/50 as MakeLemonade suggested will).
Your juice can be to pay extra attention to the time spent on the page. What is your bounce rate, you need to ask yourself (press back or close window with no clicking at all), once you have that, go with whichever page has the least bounce.
Then, you need to look at the time people are spending on your site. How far into the reading are they getting before they lose interest or become wary/unsure of their reading? Read your copy at varying speeds on your own, tell others to read it, stop in your MOST COMMON loss point. If 60/100 people stop reading at about 2 minutes, you know you can safely read for 1 minute 40 to 2 minute 20 seconds at varying speed and find the places that you "need" to add more excitement to. You need to add a variable for the people who come to your page and become interested once they are there too. Meaning, you need to try and only focus on the people who found your page with purpose, usually through your "buy keywords"
I'm doing horrible, i know this shit but taking action never comes out right-right-now, you can dig it. But your stats are very important, thinking out of the box with them like these ways will really help a lot. Try to read from them what they are showing you.
Remember 1/100 is an idiot - also, your stats could pick back up, you might just be going through a little slump where it takes you a lot more hits in your market to balance back out to your 6%. And just because someone sells 2/200 doesn't mean both those people are stupid - I mean, some of those 1/100 idiots can't even comprehend the pitch half of the time
One other thing, pay closer attention to sales when trying to improve sales - makes sense, right? Just do the opposite with your stats that you do to tighten up your retaining of people's attention - how long did the buyers read? What got them going? etc etc.
Also, Landing Pages like this, imo, are dying for A LOT of markets they have been used in. I think your niche is safe for quite a few more years though as long as you know which part of that audience is yours etc.
