In my first website only the home and about us navigation buttons work, the others did nothing...
Your first website should be clean, simple but visually pleasing, it should have some nice curves on the design. It would be great if your first website is very creativity and powerful with great efforts in it.

My first website was several years ago, but it wasnt really made for profit, only to post pictures of a club.

My first real money making website was in the instagram bot niche, i created out of iMacros a cheap (not the best, but it worked) an instagram bot. I sold it over fiverr, an over the website itself, and after a while, i bought some accounts too, which i sold later more expensive, and i gained after 6 months hard working for all 550$, sounds little, however it's the beginning!

The design? It depends on your niche, wordpress is one of the commonst way to create websites around here, its easy, highly editable and free to use. Something VERY easy to use are online-web-page-builder like weebly and wix, however it's difficult to earn money with those.

If you're a blog publisher, use the blogger from google, easy to use and it is already SEO friendly for google.

Need more help? read the guides around here

My first website was written in html in notepad :D I then used photoshop and iframes to create websites. They were not for making money but because I just liked doing it. I was around 14 or so then.

I built my first website years ago using HTML with loads of fancy graphics in Flash, only afterwards did I realise that Apple didn't like Flash. That was a kick in the balls, to say the least!

My first website was a geocities website. (Yeah, remember that?) It wasn't for profit. It was a fan website for an anime I loved when I was a kid.

I use Wordpress with the Genesis Framework now. It's expensive but I'm not open to using anything else. It keeps my site design clean and simple, and I can add as much or as little content as I want.
