Hey guys,

I used to have an awesome keyword digging told...but I lost it somehow and cannot remember its name....it was the bomb for coming up with long tail keywords and keyword phrases...

What is your favorite tool or method you use to dig base keywords to get long tail and buying keywords and keyword phrases to use for content marketing?

http://ubersuggest.org/

Add my broad keyword in there.
Copy list.
(Optional) Get suggestions for each keyword in the list as well.
Add all suggestions into the adwords keyword tool.

Another fun twist is to find a trending keyword in Google Trends, and get suggestions based on that keyword from UberSuggest.

Easy :)

Yes, ubersuggest is pretty powerfull. You can also use wildcards in your search to get better ( "buy * car")

Sometimes I use keywordshitter (add .org to that, yes, really) that will just burst out vouple of hundred suggestions. Just make sure to stop the 'sshitting' once it is going way offtopic, and filter out results afterwards. A big portion of them is crap (hence the name, I guess) but sometimes there are a few golden hidden in there.

The Keyword Revealer site streamlines the LT kw search process, and gives you a competition score for a given kw that includes an EMD availability check.

Long Tail Pro Platinum is best for this...

Yes.. I do agree that LTPro Plat is undoubtedly one of the best softwares out in the Market and it really does take the pain away for newbies who are trying to rank their websites, but I still feel the Google Keyword Planner is pretty neat and does a great job, if you can just be a bit more focused around your initial keyword selection.
