As a person who spent his time with C# language mostly, yes, ASP.NET Core looks cool to me of course. However, it is too freaking detailed, man. Being lost in tutorials. Unlimited things to learn.
JavaScript frameworks look good and feels like you can do everything with it these days, but there is always too much new frameworks and libraries every day.
Django looks simple and easy to learn, since it is based on Python language.
Spaghetti plain PHP code was good for me but don't want to learn it's MVC frameworks such as laravel etc.
And there are much more. Do you have a personal favorite web backend framework and if yes, why do you like it?
