Your experiences with PBN's and Authority Sites.

Long time member of the site but rarely post. For the most part I have always built websites using mostly white hat methods. My best site being a site that was making roughly 8k a month and is still doing good but I have since sold a year ago.

Fast forward, I am building a similar site in the same niche. While my older site was pretty good it brought in about a 10th of what the big boys bring in.

I am thinking I am going to need a little more to push me over the edge so I have started to dabble a little in PBN links.

I am curious to know how many of you guys build PBN's links to HIGH quality money sites. A couple other questions I am interested in are:

1. What percentage of links are PBN vs. normal white hat links.
2. What do you guys do to stay Penguin Safe?
3. Do you normally use PBN links for the homepage or inner pages?

As of right now I have around 20 or so legit editorial links from lifehack, huffington, etc... and some others niche authority sites. I also have about 40 PBN's links that are in the process of being built over the course of the next two weeks.

My real question here is... what is the safest way to dabble in a little black hat and not get penalized. Although I know nothing is for certain I want to play it as safe as possible... if that is even possible.

This is what I'm doing for a small manufacturing company that I run and I'm sure other people are doing it differently.

1. 70 / 30~ (30% being PBN)

2. Check the anchor text used by my high ranking competitors for each search term, get the average LSI, exact match KW, random words, and naked url used as anchor text. And then just follow those ratios when building links to a certain page.

3. Depends on your roi but for me, inner pages. Although I love getting real high quality links, most of the time they are just links going to my home page. PBN enables me to link to my profitable inner pages

How safe do you guys think PBN links be if you built them using all generic/brand/naked anchors text. I guess they would be used more for authority vs. manipulating keywords.

Regarding PBN safety, I wouldn't be concerned with the anchor ratio as much as avoiding the footprints. But not overdoing it with exact match anchors is definitely a good call.

Regarding the PBN/nonPBN ratio, that's really not necessary. Your PBNs are "regular sites". Is it a problem when you have backlinks just from the "legit" sites in the eyes of the Google? All contextual and high quality? Nah, it's just fine. Sure, you can and should diversify a little bit with some shittier links, but there is no need to be paraonid about it. Especially if you are building links for a high quality sites, which I presume, already has some backlink profile.

If you have your own PBN, then you are safeR than with a public one, but you will never be completely safe. On the other hand, if you do any kind of SEO, then you are never safe. Even white-ish hat guys can get hit no problem.
