Your experience with .edu address?

Hey, I'm thinking to buy a couple of .edu email addresses and I'm wondering how long can I use them as they will be generated by the seller?

I'm having this question because no person remains a student for life so whats the validity of these email addresses?

Anyone with experience on this can throw some info?

Approx an year is the vailidity for most.

I have both a legit one (which will last for ever) and one from "a method". The method one is in its third year now I think, didn't require anything for renewal, it just exists. The method was an "apply" one, it's just that they seem not to care to prune them yearly.

So I would say that longevity it depends on where the seller got the email from.
