Hey all,
I have a website which used to be on top of Wordpress (highly SEO optimized) - and was getting ~300k unique per month.
I shut this website down, to build my own web app from scratch. The new web app is getting ~15k unique per month. Mostly I think, because I lost out on a lot of SEO optimizations I was getting from WordPress.
The new website is on top of Ruby on Rails - which doesn't seem to be a good fit for search engines right out of the box. I've implemented scripts for meta tags and titles so far - that's it.
I was wondering (in terms of code), what you feel is most important to achieving high rank with a new web app. Rails gems and library suggestions appreciated. I understand the content part of SEO, I'm now trying to learn the code parts of SEO.
Cheers,
CryoLogic
