This is what I think in reality. What is my desire is to get any one of the old famous cars to my garage and wanted to modify it with my own hand to make it more likable than the latest modelsCars are a depreciating asset usually used by young people to make up for insecurities. Wish I realized this earlier. Most guys driving nice cars have a shortfall in their life somewhere that they are making up for. Maybe they're skinny or fat. Maybe they suck with girls. Yes, maybe even less endowed below the waist - people joke about that often but there is truth to it.
Who do you need to impress? Honestly
Focus more on making the person driving the car awesome and less on the car itself.
If I were to buy another car, I would buy something I can maintain as a hobby to expand my technician skills. I enjoy working on motors and sourcing difficult parts.

I own a 1964 Morris Minor (a cute little vintage car made in England). Always wanted one and finally got a chance to buy a restored one last year.
I have to keep it inside because otherwise it will rust, so Betty (yes, she has a name) lives at the transport museum in town. If the weather is going to be good the first thing I do is go to the museum to swap cars!
I don't really have any other dream cars. My daily car is a Volvo XC60 which is okay and comfy to drive.

When I was a kid I always wanted a super-amazing car that looks futuristic like Lamborgini, Ferarri as every kid, I guess. My first car was Renault Megane II (year: 2003) and that's what I am still driving. Now I don't want anything like that, but I want a car that I can drive with joy, that's not too expensive to buy and maintain. I wanted to sell this Renault and to buy another car and guess what happened? I had a fricking car accident and now need to invest in the repair of that crap.

I never understood when people describe these as their dream cars. Let's say a magic toad has granted your wish and now you have those in your parking lot. Then what? It's not like you can take your Koenigsegg on regular roads to a grocery store or whatever. Do you also dream about having a private race track and a massive garage to store these?
