Your best hashtags - Finding, testing and analyzing hashtags

This info may be too beginner for most of you but I know some will find it useful

How many of you test and analyze your hashtags to ensure you are using the best ones for your page and ensuring you are growing as much as you can?

I have found most people don't put enough effort into there hashtag research and analysis and are missing a huge opportunity.

I made this video to go over the basics of hashtag selection, testing and analysis (I have another one that is more in depth too if you are interested in that one as well).

Here are the basics:
Which hashtags to start with:
1. You want hashtags that are relevant not only to your posts but also to your page as a whole
2. Hashtags that have about 300,000 - 800,000 results when you search them will do the most for you if you have under 50,000 followers

Testing Hashtags:
1. Use the hashtags and track which ones are showing up on the top 9 results of hashtag searches (You should check this everyday)

2. Analyze which are actually ranking the best on the top hashtags and dial in on which ones are doing the most work for you and gaining your profile the most visibility.


This will help you have visibility in to which hashtags are best for you.

what services do you recommend to find hashtags?

This is a good one. I personally do all my own research on Instagram to find the best ones. I search niche specific hashtags and check how many results show up and base my selection on a combination of both of those factors.

Would you follow the same strategy when starting a fresh account or lower the numbers?

I would consider between 50,000 - 150,000 and 150,000 - 700,000 would be a good zone. The most important thing is to track which hashtags are actually working best for you!
