A dude on IRC i know, were 7 year old when he started the internet thing, at 10 he walked down to his ISP and said to them.. "Your firewall sucks" .. them "what are you talking about kiddie??" .. He fixed a new, and better firewall for them, and getted 1000$ for it.. He learned himself Linux at the age of 12 i think.
I need to have contact with him again, amazing person..
P.S: I wish i were 14 year old again..

I started learning HTML and PHP at 12.. started internet marketing at 15.. now I'm 20 and still ain't made shit.
Started to learn HTML and shit with 22
IM with 25
27 now and earning a lot less than I wish. (under 1k USD monthly)
Still, I have a day job, pretty damn frustrating with all these possibilities.
Now it's more difficult, I think.
If I started with 15 (but almost impossible due to internet infrastructure at the time) by now i'd be a millionare, taking internet development in last 10 years in consideration.
Still, i think any person with passion towards IM and age < 18 can make a lot of money nowdays, because - when you're 16, 300 bucks monthly is a LOT and you have SOOOOOOOOOOO much free time, I can only envy those little guys
