Imagine you had to rely on just one link building strategy for the next 12 months.
What would you choose and why?
Not looking for anyone to reveal their secret methods I'm more interested in understanding which approach has consistently delivered results for you over time.
There are so many opinions on what works that it's hard to separate theory from real world experience. It would be interesting to see where experienced members agree and where they don't.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

If I had to pick only one, it’d be niche edits on real sites that already rank and get some traffic. Not the “DA 60 write for us” garbage, but pages that are already indexed, relevant, and have backlinks of their own. @Daniel Emmanuel the boring part is doing proper filtering, because 80% of offers are junk once you check traffic history, outbound links and anchors. It’s not sexy, but over 12 months it’s the one thing that keeps working without needing a new gimmick every few weeks.

I'd go with editorial brand mention posts on relevant, trusted websites.

They build authority, support long term rankings, and work well across most white hat niches. When they're combined with strong content and a good internal linking strategy, they've been one of the most reliable link building approaches for us.
