I could not agree more. I think 2010 will be remembered as a year when a lot of those "future" technologies got some steam & became mainstream.
Forgot to add..
I saw that video around a year ago. It's my opinion that technologies like this and similar technlg's (in some cases beyond the public's belief) already exist and are being used right now.
They are testing in real life scenarios as well as testing public reaction with "future tense" videos like this.
ALWAYS testing.

This will not impress the nerds, but try again, and when they can create the real star trek transporter they're game. In fact, i'm working on this right now, problem i'm facing is i can make them disappear but they won't come back.
