When looking at the source of my homepage, I noticed that the SEO plugin is leaving a footprint as an HTML comment - "Yoast WordPress SEO plugin v1.2.8.7". How do I get this Off?

why did you want to do this?
there is no problems with that

Can't you edit the plugin? Press ctrl + f and look for the phrase.

I have been looking in the files of the pluggin and I can't find it. It has quite a few files. Has nobody else ran into this problem?

I don't see as a problem, but it's in the class-frontend.php - line 399
