I'm pretty surprised by the amount of love Yoast gets in this thread. Usually, people recommend RankMath over it.
Personally, I think that all of them are pretty much the same. You have to apply your common sense and not follow them blindly, so you might as well use the one that's most comfortable for you.

I haven't, otherwise, I'd give a personal impression of it. I tried Yoast and RankMath and I'm pretty happy with both. I'm going to use RankMath on my next site, though.

Not sure, never used the free version. Look at the downloads section, I'm sure the full version was shared there. If not, Festinger have it for cheap.
