When writing an authoritative post in a heavily YMYL themed niche, what would be the better way to place citation links to the fact source page?
1) Contextual links from within the content.
2) Superscript numbers linked to links at the bottom of the article (as per standard academic papers)
Should these outgoing links be do-follow, or does that not matter?
