We're trying to update and claim certain local citations that are in the YEXT network. Any attempt to add our business or update involves the YEXT scanner and getting pushed to utilize YEXT. Is there a way around this in order to do it manually? Is there a positive experience with YEXT and SERP results for many people?

You should be able to do the majority that Yext shows on your own manually. I know for a fact a lot of them don't have exclusive relationships with Yext because we do many of those sites every single day.
