Hi guys, its me again as always trying legit ways to get good contextual links for our sites! Afterall, I think this is what google is looking for when bringing your page up when someone types in a keyword.

Anyway this method is probably more suitable for e commerce sites but if you have an outstanding blog about a product maybe the wholesaler will link you anyway! :)

What I have done is email about 5 manufacturers who's products I carry. Most of these have a page on their site that says "Find a retailer", "store locator" or something along those lines. I clicked on some of those links and found that in some cases their listing page is PR3 or 4! In other cases it is 0 but it is 100% contextual since you are carrying their product and their name is on the website.

I will see if they give me any love for carrying their products. If one or 2 do then I will research the other manufacturers I carry and email them too.

I hope this helps you guys get good "clean" high PR backlinks!

Good idea. The only problem I can think of is the fact that you will most likely have to be an "Authorized Seller" in order for them to put you on their page.

They may even ask you to take your site down for un-authorized selling of their product.

Sounds like the days of the web circ mid 90's. Just asking for a link was ok and NOW its hidden as a scam. If your an affilaite site its harder to get a direct link since your taking business away from them.

Understand both points but in my case I am not an affiliate per se' I work through a distribution center that buys and stocks all of these manufacturers products, therefore if I sell an item the distributor has to replace it buy ordering from the manufacturer. In addition these manufacturers do not sell to the public, in fact I have a reseller account with a handful of them but the distribution center turned out to be a much better option for me.
