There was another Google Update update this week, lots of SEO's saw their website ranking plummet. I saw my website dropped significantly in ranking yesterday. Comment how the update has affected you.

Google randomly slaps your in the face and doesn’t tell you why.

I believe it’s something to do with newer backlinks. Page that I bought links last month pump.

While other that I dint do any SEO since it already on page 1 now dropped.

Sounds like my girlfriend...

i am seeing major losses too for some reason. will they pick back up when this is finished and when should it be finalized the update rollout?
 
they say it will take 1-2 weeks but I don't think much will change at the end
 
I have been hit very hard too especially on my amazon sites, some of my sites have lost a lot of ranking. Please tell me this is just a nightmare

ps : I don't have a lot of backlinks on these sites or not at all although they were ranking in top position, I think it's maybe due to the lack of links

It seems like quality backlinks are the way to Go
 
The SEO pros usually say to read the official Google update report to see what the updates are really about and to correct the issues on your websites and you should see the rankings go back up.
 
This was a big one..several of my sites have been hit. From what I notice this targeted the backlinks profile. All my tanked sites had a very weak backlink profile.

I haven't had to rank sites in a while. Can someone tell me when the last google update was and also what it was called?
 
My site has pages that that ranked organically with good content without any targeted keyword backlinks.
These pages lost ranking.

On the same site, those pages that had plenty of backlinks with targeted keywords, did not lose ranking at all.

So it's kinda "funny" that google fucked the good quality, organic results (in my case at least) while the artificially pumped results with PBN links stayed stable.

Conclusion: As I was always saying, in the past 20 years nothing changed in SEO:
YOU NEED LINKS

The quality, the length, the internal linking, etc of your content doesn't matter.
At least this latest update showed me this.
 
Sad to hear that, but I hear that complaint close to my ears too.
The ranking is technically improved, but the click is dropping like sad

is there a new site for the number 1 position? if so, anything you notice special about it?
