Keep in mind that I haven't tried this, and don't even know if it would work, so don't get your hopes up. I remembered seeing some sort of ad for those USB 'pens' that scan actual text from books or other types of reading material and then the text can be transferred to a computer. I can't remember the actual name of these devices though. I'm not quite sure how these type of devices work. Do they render an actual .txt file? or does it scan an image file? If, in fact, it does scan .txt I could see this being extremely useful as you could scan various documents that aren't on the net and submit them as unique content. Even if it renders an image file, perhaps there is a program/service that could translate the .jpg to .txt like something similar to a captcha bypasser. It's a long shot, but I think this could be really beneficial if it would work. Anyone got any more information on these things?
