YELP Exploit Pages pushing down organic serps

I have recently seen local competitors making bogus YELP pages and not using the names of their business but EXACT KEYWORDS as the business name so they come up first in Google. Now isn't this against BOTH Google and Yelp? OR is it the latest workaround to kick everyone off of page one?


There are new ones everyday , this is getting nuts! Make a fake page and POOF First page in no time?


Thinking about doing it myself unless anyone knows about major Google penalties for this. These guys are killing us pushing back to page 2 in our local results.

Yelp is pretty powerful from my xperience, they are also more vigilant than other sites. Either way what do you have to lose?
 
Nice idea! Damn, Yelp isn't so popular here in Germany.

What part of the TOP THREE SERP SPOTS did you miss??

We have been working forever to get on the front page and in a week three guys doing this exploit have taken THREE different front page positions. How can you figure is doesn't work?? Can you explain that?
 
I don't have enough posts to PM yet. I'm sure my space is not the only one being hit like this. Try googleing Computer repair san diego You will see them and how they are gaming yelp and google.

Yes, there are major Google penalties for this. Even if you were to go so far as to register a brand new domain name, use hidden or fake registrant information AND host it on a different IP as your main website, Google will automagically know that you are behind it all. They'll also know who your real client is and penalize their website from page 2 to not-even-in-the-top-1000. Because Google knows everything and they don't like people who exploit yelp (nevermind the people who are already using the exploit).

I really wish this were true but they are STILL on the First page pushing us back to page two and here we sit as they get all of the calls.
 
I notice yelp dominating so some pages - in some kw the first three or so listed. I wonder if this is the way to go instead of our own websites. Anyways, I've updated my Yelp to include the kw I'm targeting to see if there are any changes in the next several days. I'm pessimistic since Yelp sucks. Getting reviews to stick sucks too since even the legit one's are filtered. Fucking Yelp!
 
I've checked your kw in other big cities in US and it is almost the same.
