Description: Google... For one local business (Business A), when googling the city and industry, their entry in Yelp ranks second, yet their own website ranks fifth. The number one ranked site (Business B) also has their Yelp entry ranking third. It is also the highlighted map entry on the right. Ranking fourth is a Yellowpages entry for a Business C, and no entry on first page for website. Business D takes the sixth (website) and seventh (facebook page) ranks. Then, google image results are presented. Bing... Surprisingly, Bing Results has Business A in the top two spots (Yelp entry in second). Then, Local Results show Business A, then B (only two). Then, back to Bing Results, where Business B is ranked third. Questions: Yelp and Yellowpages entries above two of the businesses (A and C), on the first page? It seems none of these businesses are managing their online presence well (B seems it might be the exception), would this be a correct assumption (opportunity!)? That said, just to understand, are Yelp and YP entries "juiced" by overall traffic for those services? Or, does the Google Result reflect that the entries themselves get more traffic than the websites?
