its better to use mutliple methods and take it easy (don't try doing it in a short span of time) as yelp is getting better at identifying patterns..

The business week article that was linked gave a good clue. You can find that paper from Cornell which describes generally what the team found in terms of grammar. In short, use proxies/vpn with VirtualBox or sandboxie and avoid adverbs.

Let's face it, getting positive reviews to stick forever seems like a long-term battle. It sticks for weeks/months/year, then get removed etc. That's just painful. Not to mention the fact that if you are offering it as a service for a client, the relationship will probably go bad eventually, because he/she paid you big bucks for reviews and it's now removed.
Rather than spending a hard-time bypassing Yelp filters and staying on top of their filters updates, starting asking your clients (or yourself) to offer great services to your customers and request for a honest review? Getting legit the whitehat way is a long-term investment. It's definitely worth it.

You're probably right about the hassle plus the fact that the businesses requiring these reviews are run by jerkoffs which is why they need reviews.

And I agree with you also. However, some jerkoffs also think that they are smartass, and no one will ever find out what they've done, UNTIL you show them those negative reviews and tell them that they need to change.
I understand this can be a huge argeument/debate as everyone has their own perspective on this, but again, FTC, Yelp and others are cracking down fake reviews. It's not worth the risk & hassle with fake reviews - especially if the owners have no intention of changing their attitude / services for their customers.
Yelp has gotten very good in detecting fake reviews and accounts. I would not waste time in trying to fool them with tools. Even if possible you have to be very good in tricking them and know their rules...Basically you have to wait months for your account to get aged. You need to do couple of dozen random reviews, have bunch of friends connected and other activity. On top of that you need to go in from the same IP address every time and make sure no other person uses this IP, which means proxy servers are out of question, unless there is one that would sell you a dedicated virgin IP.
If you try to buy reviews, you risk making an offer to an undercover Yelp employee or government agency, which would result in a lawsuit. So be very careful doing that as well. Yelp has sued people over fake reviews and NY State sued 19 companies that had participated in buying and selling Yelp reviews.

Looking for credible reviews for yelp that will stick in the LA area.
I already have 10+ account that more than 1 year old.. You can try HMA VPN. Regular maintain your account.On first or second month posting, yelp may flag your review.How much older those account is, your review will get more authenticity not to being flagged...have a nice journey through yelp.
Can you show me some ways?

2. Search Fiverr for "reviews"
3. Contact each person w/ a review related gig, and ask if they have an active Yelp profile that they would post for you from for 5 bucks.
4. Buy gig, provide them with the content, stars and link.
5. Wait
If indeed the account is as active as they claim, it should stick. If not, it was 5 bucks. Next!
Someone once offered to post for $150. From what I hear, that isn't too much these days. See what Yelp gon' done by making their filter impossible?
