Brave's new non tracking search engine has been released in beta. Hope this one is successful after many attempts like bing, duck duck go, etc. Also hope my sites perform better here ;) I like the interface though....glad to see no ads.

I think non-tracking search engines will boom sometime
But today's people don't value privacy so that is not gonna happen any time soon...
And also google is good at what it does...
 
I don’t think people will embrace it. Heard apple is making their own search engine and maybe it can take at least a bit of search engine market share but lets be honest here, there’s no way google is going to get replaced. Not anytime soon.

With age they will start to appreciate privacy. We are the generation that is going to transist from google to anonymous solutions.

Yeah but do you think google will just keep collecting data while majority of people are seeking for more privacy protected search engine options? They’ll adapt, innovate and come up with something to stay ahead in the market for sure.
 
It remains to be seen how successful it will be because the big G is not sleeping either
 
Once people's search engine history is used against them and big corporations have access to it (banks, mortgages, health insurance) people will demand privacy.
 
Anyone search for their ranking keywords in here? Mine don't show up anywhere but all the garbage websites are floating to the top :rolleyes:
 
To everyone complaining about data collection and ads, if advertisers are not going to pay for the service then who will? Are you willing to pay $10/month for a search engine?

Nothing is free forever, someone gotta pay.
 
It's not about who has the best product but who released it first. Google already has the upper hand by miles, and if we're talking privacy search engines why not use DDG? It already has a good amount of users and has existed longer.

I don't think Google will be like that forever. BItcoin won't be the way it is these days. Facebook has changed a lot and people go to TikTok. Same with search engines. They do not have a monopoly on it. It's just that they put it by default in every normal browser and anything else doesn't even come close.
