Yahoo vs Googe

Yahoo search is partnered through Bing. Bing is the alternative to Google. And for the record they're getting stronger every single day. Microsoft has done great things to make that possible. Wouldn't it be ironic if Google ends up owning browsers while Microsoft owns search. A total flip.

Its in googles favor to let these figuers stand
Otherwise they would be admitting a total monopoly of the internet
and people would have to think seriously about limiting their power.

Monopolies are never a good thing, unless you own it.

You would expect the Firefox default change to help Yahoo, but I don't see it. I don't even know anyone that uses Yahoo, except Yahoo Finance. Google seems to have all the real traffic. I would be extremely surprised if Marissa could ever turn around Yahoo. It would be good for someone to give Google some competition, someday.
 
I prefer Yahoo... There's such a difference even looking for pictures on both search engines, some pictures won't show up on Yahoo's image search, but will on Google's. I use both regularly, but I'm just used to using Yahoo
 
yes it seems that Yahoo from 9% of searches share went to 24% or something when mozilla switched from google to yahoo. It will depend on niche for searches. I mostly rely on Google since they hold ATM more than 60% of searches so...
