So I noticed a somewhat huge spike in Yahoo traffic in the past few days.

No changes on Google rankings that I can see.

There've been some recent issues with Google search results (four legged snake). Are these perhaps linked to the Yahoo traffic spike?

Is competition finally gonna happen in the search space?

Just wondering whether others saw a spike in Yahoo traffic. Suddenly I felt like I was back in the 90's!

i also get more traffic from yahoo in past few days
but not huge

you done any change to get more traffic

I don't want to kill your excitement but here are the current market shares of search engines:

Google 92.42%
bing 2.61%
Yahoo! 1.9%
Baidu 1.03%
YANDEX RU 0.53%
DuckDuckGo 0.37%

Focus on Google traffic that's the reality right now.

Got also a huge Spike from Yahoo the last 2-3 Days for no reason. Blog is only 20 Days old.

Is that the current trend, or is it for a few months back? How many sites were tested, and source for the stat; please?

It could be that Yahoo made some changes to its algorithm for ranking and your sites benefited from it. @Alex Membrillo from where are these stats from? Thought that in US, 30% use Bing.

I didn't change a thing. Simply noticed the increased referrals in the analytics.

Yeah but those market research polls are slow. We're faster. We see the changes in the logs, so polls will likely reflect what we're seeing here far into the future. We're way, way, ahead of market research polls.

Saw it on old / established sites.

Perhaps someone faking the referrer in large scale?
