New: Link Explorer (beta)
The ability to explore link information for any domain is here! Dive deep with this beta tool which allows you to explore links associated with any domain. Simply enter a URL and the tool will supply a list of known links pointing to the specified destination. The default setting will be to display external links pointed at the specified URL, though this can be switched to show internal links as well.

The online report is limited to 200 links but if you export to csv it gives many more. You can also do multiple searches by anchor text to get around the limit.

That's awesome..... Can you do this for any domain? Meaning others than your own?

I'm hoping that they bring back the old YSE functionality with this tool. I heard that they were gonna do this today but haven't had time to look into it.

Here is the actual url for pulling the backlinks. Make sure you have a valid cookie aka (signed in to bing)
Code:
https://wmstat.bing.com/webmaster/data.ashx?wmkt=en-CA&wlang=en-CA&type=linkexplorer&linkurl=http://www.google.com&url=&anchor=&query=&domain=false&source=1

parameter: linkurl
is where you would input the website you want to get the links for.

Enjoy

About time Bing started to embrace webmasters! :)

Finally something free that can check backlinks more accurately. It has been a long wait since yahoo removed their link explorer.

I logged into webmaster tools, but I don't see the link explorer anywhere. How do you access it?

https://ssl.bing.com/webmaster/diagnostics/link/explorer

It is under Dashboard -> Diagnostics & Tools -> Link Explorer

Awesome news. Kinda started to miss it :) I am off to check it out and what sweet things can be done with it!

Though it does not export more than it shows in Link Explorer for not confirmed domains.

You cant really say that Microsoft took the idea forward and made it better.
Alexa shows me more backlinks, and I don't need to bloody login.

Microsoft is such a failure when it comes to web.

So.. I have to have a "Live" ID, and then verify my domain, and only THEN can I see the backlinks?

https://ssl.bing.com/webmaster/diagnostics/link/explorer just redirects me to https://ssl.bing.com/webmaster/home/mysites and "Dashboard" isn't a link until I verify a site. MS seems to have !#@$ when it comes to the web yet again.

It seems it is only available for Bing webmaster tool's users. It is still in Beta so maybe someday it will become public.
