I just tried to do a backlink check on a website and I can't open Yahoo Site Explorer!

Is the day finally here that they took it down?

If so, what alternatives do you all plan on using?

It's my understanding that YSE will be phased out by the end of the year, which is close. As an alternative, you can use the MajesticSEO Site Explorer. There's also crazyflx's thread about using ScrapeBox to get your competitors' backlinks (by way of Google and Bing):

It seems to be working fine on my end. Word is that they are going to shut it down in the next few months, maybe its already starting?

working on my end. But they are going to shut it down during this year.

It is also working for me, but I have heard for a long time also (from people on here) they are planning to discontinue it soon. I just did a bit of research and found out what is going on.

It seems like Yahoo would like to continue it eventually but it may take some time/complaints from current users to get it all switched over. It is all Bings fault. Everyone send an email to Yahoo telling them to please make sure they have this functionality when they switch over.

It came back up for me. What was interesting was I was given a blank yahoo screen. I wonder if they are slowly transitioning and I was one of the early users to see the roll out?

Does anyone know what tools such as Market samurai are using for link analysis with Majestic? Do you think they might be paying for the $300+/m API through that service to get that data?
