Yahoo SEO

Hey Guys

I currently ranked well in Google for hundreds of keywords but my yahoo ranking sucks, so I was thinking of optimising them in Yahoo as well. Will my G ranks be effected if I proceed?

Any yahoo experts here?

I've always beleived that what works for G works for Y and B - and my results tend to follow that theory.

I wouldn't risk yr G ranking to get better in Yahoo though - remember market share?

Yahoo and Bing differs on some parameters but not much different... Both of them takes more time in ranking so just be patient...

I wouldn't want to do anything to risk my google rankings...

There are some big differences in SEO when targeting Yahoo or Bing as compared to Google. Some of the differences are :

1) Your website sitemap need be very detailed and they want you to have 2 separate sitemaps on your website. One for the Search Engines and the Second for the Visitors.

2) Don't leave the Keywords meta tag empty. Bing and yahoo still rely on the KW meta tag and tend to rank the webpages with KWs meta tag higher.

3) And ofcourse Yahoo Directory Submission is a way of bribing yahoo to get you to page 1. Being listed in the yahoo directory also helps you in Google rankings.

Every SE has its own way of indexing its not necessary.They don't have same results just check you SEO method and keep on working it.
