Im sure i used a different method than others to create accounts. The method i was using i was able to create thousands of accounts with no problems. Maybe yall are using a different yahoo server then i was, seems the server i was using now you do need to verify it with a cell number.

they use that just in case your account gets hacked and if someone is using your name or other information on google

Yahoo for Valid Phone Number

Hotmail Ask for Alternate Email

Conclusion:

Yahoo! is full of shit.

Yeah they implemented that 1-2 months ago... Sometimes they do send the verification SMS and sometimes they do not.
