Yahoo Chat is old school. Sad days! :( Ruined by dirty spammers.

They didn't change a thing about it since the 90's. I think they missed out on a goldmine there. Would've been a perfect platform to launch a social media type site pre-Facebook days.

My Mirc chat bot will be looking for a new job then. LOL. It will probably be lonely with no more bots to talk to. Yahoo has been a pain in the butt for a long time. There's nothing like having to reset your bot to another room manually because it has found another bot to get into a looped conversation with.

I think Yahoo has madeup its mind to screw whatever they have. They ruined the Yahoo Mail and not they are closing down their popular services.
