Yahoo beats Google in US in July

For the first time in more than two years, Yahoo sites were the most visited in the country in July, according to a monthly report from comScore, which tracks unique visitors to U.S. properties across the web.

With 196.6 million visitors to 192.3 million who visited Google properties, Yahoo (http://money.cnn.com/quote/quote.html?symb=YHOO&source=story_quote_link, http://money.cnn.com/magazines/fortune/fortune500/2012/snapshots/10867.html?iid=EL) bested its competitor, which has long held onto the top spot, for the first time since May 2011. Yahoo's unique visitors were up by roughly 20% compared to July of last year, when it came in third behind Google and Microsoft (http://money.cnn.com/quote/quote.html?symb=MSFT&source=story_quote_link, http://money.cnn.com/magazines/fortune/fortune500/2012/snapshots/3063.html?iid=EL), according to comScore.

very vague report...doesn't make it clear which sites are taken into account. Just yahoo.com vs google.com? Not enough data to get me to invest more in Yahoo marketing just yet. Thanks for sharing, though!

Right, it's not apparent what Yahoo did to get the traffic boost. More details would be nice
