When I post question / answer the links dont seem to be active but others who post do, I have tried to post HTML anchor but does not like HTML.

Any ideas

are you posting with http:// before the link? Not sure if this will help but i know it does on other sites.

Yes I am - all I can think is that the guys that post with active links have been on YA more than me.

You need to have a level 2 account for your link to be active

first gather 250 points in order to make your account as level 2

Or you could try this method for posting from level 1 accounts: from a post by BlackSeng here at BHW: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackha...striction.html - to post live links with level 1 accounts.

Thats a good method. If not people will still type (copy+paste) it in plenty. No need to level to 2 only to get banned shortly after.

Ok, yea didn't know that. I used that method couple months back and it worked, altho the link looked really weird and big G didn't seem to like ranking the questions that had those kinda links in them...So guess you just have to build up 250 pts. to get level 2 accounts to post with.

Most people who are really looking for a solution to their questions will still copy and paste the link if its not clickable.

Will it still be classed as a link in googles eyes - or are they no follow.

Its not a link and they are nofollow even if you are level 2. Mostly its for marketing not for rankings is why people use YA
