I have noticed something weird today. I used to receive about 150 hits from yahoo answers from several sources, but today and yesterday I had 0. So I checked the rankings (some of them were on first page for the kw), however today they are all out of the top 100?!

It might be because of some recent update but it is surprising to hear that Google has reduced the value of Yahoo Answers. I think you need to wait for responses from other members who also use Yahoo Answers to get traffic to their websites. In my opinion, Yahoo answers will not loose value in near by future because it is just awesome.

everything is fine for me i am still get 70 to 90 hits a days :)

That happened to me as well! I'm glad someone's facing the same problem. I'm still getting almost the same amount of hits, except I don't see Yahoo Answers on the list of referrers. might be some bug or update

Ups and downs with Google do cause such problems, and it just shows that they do not simply target smaller websites with their updates.

i don't know never used it much though I got a lucky sale of $10.50 couple days ago :0
Which I don't even remember when I spammed my comment there.

Yahoo answers is going down the drain. My relatives use it and say they ALWAYS make changes, I'm convinced the president has no strategy or they're hiring undercover Google staff.

I am still getting traffic from Yahoo answers. I think they just slowed down because it is the weekend and according to my observation, some people really do not spend their weekend in front of their computer.

No, they are still good for getting traffic and good nofollow backlinks. You cant say they lost value.

I think the questions that contained your backlinks were just removed from Google's top result. Try to search for "your niche yahoo answers" with a different IP.

I left the yahoo aswers spamming around 3 months ago... A lot of things were the reason like they were more severe in banning accounts, the answers were not ranking that good etc.. In the past, my answers used to stick for 2-3 months but now, they never stay for more than 1 day max.

I just realized that the traffic coming to my site is not from Yahoo Answers. It started last March 27. Maybe Google had update or something which made yahoo answers not valuable anymore. or maybe I am just mistaken.

Yahoo answers is going out of game now ...

They are getting too strict too and removing the spam answers ...

About ranking of your keyword it might be a google dance

In my opinion Yahoo Answers is not what it used to be!

Until now, I am receiving no traffic from Yahoo and they used to be the major source of my traffic

I rarely use Y!A but when I did, I used it to promote clickbank products. Never really was a part of my backlinking strategy but I may incorporate it now since you reminded me of it.

I don't wanna be too critical...but but, some guy just posted here that Google is dead...now Yahoo answers is dead...what next? The answer is nothing is dead, everything is alive as it could be right now and if you know your stuff and know how to milk it right...you can still make some cool dough.

No any value down for yahoo. Yahoo answers is excellent source and i get much traffic from them. May be the problem is with your niche or your personal rankings.

Just noticed this thread, Y answers switched to https and they don't pass the referrer anymore - this is why you don't see it on G analytics (or other analytics software) as they rely on the referrer to be passed.

traffic from Y answers is suppose to appear under 'direct' now

Your answer is old. thats why no body Click on your link.
