So what could I be doing wrong? I go to yahoo answers and post this message:

Losing weight is not that hard. A lot of people make a big deal of it but really it just takes
some work on your part in order to achieve results. Things like eating right and exercising are
key if you want to lose weight fast and without a lot of work. You really should check out this site if you want to know more about losing weight. It can be a great resource if you are struggling with weight issues. I hope you lose all the weight you want to!

(I post a full link I just have not posted 15 times here yet)

I get a descent amount of traffic and click throughs like I can post get say 20 hops a day easy and maybe 60 visits with one round of 21 posts, the max a new account can post.

I got 27 hops yesterday and not one sale.

I read on here you guys are having good luck with yahoo answers but I have tried over and over and I get nothing. Is it my site?

Any help would be great. I lost my job and am fighting to just make 300 bucks a month online to pay the basics.

I'm not a Guru here or anything but one thing is for sure: Weight Loss in NOT a niche!
and that could be a big reason for those stats that you just posted.

There are probably more people seliing weight loss products than actually buying it :P. I'm only tyring to tell you from my experience. You are free to disagree but what I feel is that if you are looking at weight loss as a BROAD area, you can still pick a niche inside that area.

Once again, I'm no guru, just a newbie who has tried several of these tricks and failed in many of them. I might not be able to tell you what niche's to pick. May the guru's come and help you out with that.

hi

i'm in the same nice and te answers didn't work for me . i tried posting for a month traffic is low too.

i believe it;s just people are looking for information and are
not ine the buying mode.

Well I am in a niche in the weight loss area. I won't say what as I am trying to rank for it now and it is taking a while. I just need to get some money coming in fast.

I am just saying I am promoting weight loss and getting no sales.

First off, you should not expect any sales off of 27 visits. You need to give it time. You also need to write a unique message for every answer. You also need to do several answers a day and have a few different yahoo answers accounts.

Weight loss is far too broad. You need to narrow it down. Weight loss for a wedding, weight loss for a holiday...things like this. Weight loss in general means a million things for a million people. You must get much more focus.

The BIG QUESTION is: How's your click thru rate? I bet it sucks. If you don't know what your clickthrough from your landing site to your offer is, there's your first problem there.
You need to know that. Have your links go through a meta redirect page on your site, so you can see your outgoing clicks in awstats, at the very least. Then you'll know how well your page is doing in sending people to your offer.

Your link and YA copy is OK, but once they hit your landing page, what are they supposed to do? There are eight different links, and the user can go in any direction. You need to guide them with your copy and your landing page. I bet that they read some of your copy, then leave. I think your landing site is just too complicated. You've given them too many choices. I'd use a single page with a thin woman with a tape measure (or some other typical, hey I'm a women, and I've lost weight!!), and list the highlights of the offer page:

How to quickly burn 200%-300% more body blubber without ANY additional effort. The secrets to weight loss are easier than you think - this is your chance to learn effective and effortless weight loss!

I like that copy above. I'd build some short, concise landing page copy around that.

I'd burn that copy down, no more than 80-100 words in a landing page that should fit in the entire field of their screen. NO SCROLLING DOWN!

Put a call to action on your page with a button or a colored link that says something like:
YES, I want To Lose Weight Now! Show Me How!

I'd rip this graphic off the page for credibility and use it on your lander:

Remember the classic ad formula AIDA (attention-interest-desire-action). Form your copy and page around that, and watch your conversions go up.

Lastly, it's NOT YOUR JOB TO SELL THEM. It's your job to get them to the page so the page can sell them.

+ your hop isnt working. When I click on it I get a blank page.

I usually get a sale after 200-400 hops

What I recommend is not giving up. There are many ways in which you can monetize cb.

Try using some bh techniques like the infamous cookies =D

:usa:

I have no idea how long the site has been down guys. I want to thank you for pointing that out.
I have alerted the owner of this. Maybe that was my problem the whole time.

How do you all manage to get 200-400 hops? What are some good promotion techniques?

Plain & simple, it's a numbers game. You'll be lucky to make $1 with 27 hops a day. You need to think about how to start getting 1,000's. How can you multiply your effort? I've never done Yahoo answers, but it sounds like the return on effort really sucks. 1 good ad on Craigslist can get you 100's of responses. 1 good video on YT or 1 well done Myspace profile can get you 1,000's of clicks for months or years...So, I'd say, without some automation, Yahoo Answers probably isn't worth your time.

With no job, you have time to learn and implement. $300/mo. is really not a hard number to reach. That's $10/day = 10 email/zip submits or whatever.

I have all the time I need. I just need to know what works and how to do it. I am going crazy. I have been jobless for 3 months and am now trying hard to make money online.

If you need quick money, the best way to do it is article writing. I think you should do something like this later on, but I used to make around $50 a day just simply by writing articles - 50x30 ... you do the math :)

Thought I would throw out my 2 cents. I have promoted an abs product before. Not exactly weight loss but same style of niche. I have a lens that gets about 200 hits every week. I have a sale probably about every 500 hop clicks. This is over a period of a couple of years. Since I put up that lens I have got pretty good traffic but conversion has been terrible. And here is my theory on it.

Anything that anyone can obtain for free is probably not going to sell well. Lets face it these days weight loss or muscle building info is in abundance online. Personally I don?t like to promote informational products. Aim for something that people have a hard time getting for free. Sure people can get anything free but it?s a lot harder to get a piece of software then ?how to shed 50 pounds in a month?.

I don?t think your methods are messed up, I think its what your promoting. The product that I promote would have probably got me 2 sales with that many clicks. I can convert about 1 in 15. Its about how I promote it and what I promote. Its not very easy to get what I promote for free online so people are more willing to fork out money for it.

Hope that helped my friend!

Well info products are a big thing and people do buy them online. I read it was a billion dollar industry. I just would like to have 300 bucks by the end of this month to pay my car payment and insurance and to make my parents happy.

i agree with kasher9,there are lots of ways to make money online ,such as article writing (asociatedcontend),cpa etc, yahoo answer is not worth your time ,i had been banned twice and give it up
AND ,what opinion brchcar1145 share is so helpful ,at least to me

I got like $2.60 per 450 to 500 word article at AC. That is less than 1 cent a word and I am a American writer. I would have to type my fingers off to get hardly anything. Unless you guys know something I do not....

I'm not saying you can't sell an info product, just make sure the info is hard to get. Anyone that is even remotely computer savvy know its easy to get an abundance of info on weight loss for free on the net. If you are going to sell an info product make sure the info is not easily found around the net. Grab the product and do a quick search. If its readily available don't promote it.

That makes plenty of sense. I have been wanting to get out of the weight loss area anyways.

Off topics but what networks have ZIP code submits? I am on neverblue and they have strict guidelines on where you can post the email submits and I don't see any zip submits.
