Yahoo answers as traffic source

Yahoo answer don't generate much traffic for me. It used to work well

Nope, Yahoo Answer Its Not Help full For Trafic ..

Just like everything else, gives traffic but don't rely on only one thing. Diversify.

I used to see them ranking in Serps for some long tails, now I don't see them at all.

So the only traffic you would get would be internal yahoo answers traffic which, depending on the niche, probably isn't that much.

Yahoo Answer is always been the great source of traffic.
Minimum 1 million people from all over the world there, you can have so many clicks, depends upon the quality of the answers.

It will probably depend on what terms your targeting. I still see pages from Yahoo Answers ranking at the top of the results for some of the searches I perform on Google. But you probably won't see this happen on competitive terms.

Yahoo answers worth is dropping by the day, you could still get referrals but not as many as you could previously get.

thanks for all replies! everything is clear now

This depends on level of your Yahoo Answer account, you can put a hyperlink or not. If you are eligible for inserting the hyperlink and your answer chosen as the best answer, you get the traffic. Maybe not much.

does it still work for you, BHW?

Have tried the method before, but it didn't work. You'll going to spend a lot of time and effort doing it, but the returns are not worth the effort you are putting into it.

Just stay away with that method and just look for something else. :)

It does not work for my sites anymore - but it still helps the self-esteem :) .

K.

Yahoo Answers is not dead at all. You just need to think in a different way and work accordingly.
I used to get ~3000 UV per day from all my niches together.

There are better tools than Yahoo. I mean Wiki answers or Quora. They are less weird (there are too many unrelated for my niche topics) and more trustworthy, IMO. I want to start wiki seo marketing, since it looks the most attractive tool in comparison to other similar things.

I have two clients that have an incredible success with Answers UK.

It is nothing to do with traffic whatsoever, the goal is to bring targeted prospect to view your services.

I don't care if I get 1 hit from a YA post, if that converts for these clients, that single post was worth it.

If you're going to rely on Yahoo Answers for traffic, then post your link on older questions rather than newer questions. The Yahoo! Answers community is very adamant about people not posting links to websites that aren't popular because they can't discern a real link from spam.

Never got decent traffic from it. I'd need to answer 1000 questions per month probably.
