Hi there fellas,

Background info: I have created a website which is in high demand. This site is a solution to many online user's problem, and the niche in which it operates has a wide gap to be filled. I created a Yahoo account to spread the link to this site manually through Yahoo Questions. The link was only posted on questions/problems to which my site actually applied, so no spamming. Actual helpful answers. I posted on about 5 questions with a legitimate answer and my link in the bottom, and then it happened... Boom! Account got blocked for some reason or the other and the posts I made had been deleted. Back to square one.

Questions to you guys:
1) How do I properly "spread" the link on Yahoo Questions without getting banned? (I am hoping that, once I answer a couple of dozen questions, the users will spread it for me (by word of mouth) and traffic will grow organically.)
2) Which other sites are comparable with Yahoo Answers where I can post my "advertisement" on?

Thank you in advance,
Zeph.

Answer loads of other questions. Wait until you get to level 2 before you post any link at all and after that only post a link to your site 1 in 5 answers at a maximum.

If those 5 questions were the only questions you have answered so far on that account and each of your answers contained the same link then i would imagine yahoo will see it as spam.

Are you solely using yahoo to get traffic to your site? You should sign up to forums that are relevant to your niche, find other related sites and post useful comments if the site permits you. Use social media also. twitter/facebook/reddit/stumbleupon etc.

Personally, i would advise you go to fiverr and a level 2 account. But if you have the time, just ensure you answer the questions and wait till you're level 2 before posting links.

Goodluck

Build up your points score to over 300 and gain a few more levels. Only post links to 1 in 4 posts and post regularly. Don't just concentrate on your topic or niche when answering or even asking questions. Be as diverse as you can on yahoo answers. Perhaps get a few friends or family members to create accounts and have a nice old chit chat between each other.
